Job Description:

Cuts, prepares, displays, and sells meat products while ensuring a positive company image and adhering to store procedures.

  • Cuts, platters, and merchandises beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry, and specialty products.
  • Prepares sausage, oven-ready products, and cured meats.
  • Checks products for quality and freshness.
  • Maintains sampling programs and prevents spoilage.
  • Mentors Meat Cutter Trainees.
  • Provides excellent customer service and models suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment.
  • Follows procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products.
  • Performs opening, mid, and closing duties.
  • Reports safety hazards and violations.
  • Develops strong cutting skills and extensive knowledge of meat cuts and cooking techniques.
  • Communicates effectively with customers, vendors, and Team Members.Requires 14+ months of retail experience and ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, and work in a fast-paced environment.
