Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Produce Order Writer to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a Produce Order Writer, you will be responsible for purchasing and replenishing produce through proper buying procedures, monitoring and acting upon open PO reports, controlling spoilage and shrink, and maximizing sales potential through effective merchandising and stocking procedures.Key Responsibilities

• Purchasing and Replenishment: Purchases and replenishes produce through proper buying procedures, ensuring timely and accurate orders to monitor inventory turns.
• Inventory Management: Monitors and acts upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner, controls spoilage and shrink, and achieves turn goals.
• Merchandising and Sales: Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for stocking and merchandising products, ensuring orders are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns.
• Customer Service: Provides excellent customer service, addressing needs of customers in a timely and effective manner, and models suggestive selling techniques.Requirements
  • Experience: 12+ months retail experience.
  • Skills: Extensive produce product knowledge, familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ordering systems, strong basic math skills, and excellent communication skills.Physical Requirements
    • Lifting and Standing: Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
    • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency, and exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.At Whole Foods Market, we offer a competitive wage range of $17.50 - $30.20 Hourly, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
