Facilitate job readiness courses in DTLAChrysalis serves people navigating barriers to the workforce by offering a job-readiness program, individualized supportive services, and paid transitional employment. We empower our clients on their pathway to stability, security, and fulfillment in their work and lives.We are seeking volunteers who are highly motivated by Chrysalis' mission and desire to improve the social and economic fabric of our community.Our volunteer opportunity includes facilitating job preparation classes for our clients as part of their professional development and job training program.Are you fluent in Spanish? Please consider joining our team of volunteers and teaching one of our Spanish classes!This is an in-person ONLY volunteer opportunity!Time commitment is 6 months minimum with availability to provide services at least 1 hour minimum every other week (weekly is also an option).Mission StatementChrysalis serves people navigating barriers to the workforce by offering a job-readiness program, individualized supportive services, and paid transitional employment. We empower our clients on their pathway to stability, security, and fulfillment in their work and lives.DescriptionOur Volunteers are essential to this mission and work directly with clients to help them gain employment. You can:

• Facilitate classes (job search, money management, stress management, goal planning, computers, recovery, incarceration, etc.)
• Perform one-on-one resume building, interview practice, and computer help
• Provide job search assistance
• Sort donation itemsWe seek volunteers with excellent communication skills who want to make an impact in their local community. You will be directly involved in helping people enter the working world and regain their confidence, pride, and stability.Volunteer opportunities are available Monday-Thursday 8 AM-4 PM and Friday 8 AM-12 PM. Training is provided, and we ask for a 6-month commitment. Opportunities are available in the San Fernando Valley, Downtown LA, Santa Monica, Anaheim, and the Inland Empire.
